A Visual Production Monitoring System

“DRISHTEE” – A VISUAL PRODUCTION MONITORING SYSTEM DESIGNED FOR CONTINUOUS PERFORMANCE MONITORING OF GARMENT PRODUCTION FLOOR.

Garment production is a continuous process in lines, where quality is checked at the end of the line. Every line is given a target output by day, which needs to be monitored by much shorter duration, so that corrective measures can be taken in time to keep the product running in desired level. There are many dimensions of monitoring a production line; such as monitoring by time scale, skill level, quality scale etc. The essence of establishing a monitoring system is to keep all the monitoring units at the highest level of performance.

The layout of the solutions:

The display monitor is placed at the end ofeach line, suspended from the ceiling. The display monitor, with mux device is connected through UTP CAT-6 Cable from Network Switch. The switch is connected to the Display Server.

Data is compiled at the QC table on ‘a given interval, set by the management. Production and Qc data are collected by adata collector and is given to operator to enter into the DRISHTEE

system. As soon as the data ¢ are entered the display shows up- setae infennatin of the productivity for that San line. line. Display unit can be placed at cutting Floor, Sewing Floor, Finishing Floor, and Packing Floor.
